A ribbon-cutting was held at Leafology to mark the store’s grand reopening Friday in White Plains.
Ahead of 4/20, one of its cannabis experts, Jonathan Seti, explained how to stay safe while celebrating the holiday.
He said it all comes down to education.
"As a dispensary, it's our responsibility to make sure, if you're a novice or you're a connoisseur, that you still get educated. Our job is to make sure you know what the product is, how to dose it, what to do," Seti said.
Seti also warned against using heavy machinery while under the influence of marijuana.
"Don't drive, stay off the road, enjoy the holiday, stay off the road," Seti said. "Don't mix your cannabis with alcohol."
He said his shop takes a variety of precautions to keep customers safe throughout the year. For example, a security guard checks for identification when customers arrive.
"Anybody that's under 21 is not allowed in a dispensary, nor should they be," Seti said.
However, if you are of age, Seti invited guests to come to the shop's own 4/20 celebration on Saturday, complete with live music, donuts, and prizes.
