Saturday was graduation day for cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Nearly 1,000 cadets joined the U.S. military after four grueling years.
Martin Dempsey, a four-star general and Goshen native, delivered the commencement speech.
The cadets were commissioned as second lieutenant in the Army and will complete some training before heading out to assignments all over the world. They are required to serve in the Army for five more years following graduation.
