The Albanian community in the Bronx and the rest of the tri-state area celebrated more than 100 years of their independence.
For six years, the Bronx has celebrated Albanian Flag Day.
The man responsible for putting together the event was Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj.
This year, many celebrated at Maestro's Caterers. Some wore the red and black colors of the Albanian flag.
Those who came to celebrate 102 years of their independence say it's all about remembering where they came from.
The celebration began on Nov. 28 and concluded Sunday.
