The Bronx District Attorney’s Office announced the indictment of a Bronx man for raping and unlawfully imprisoning a teen girl.
William Credle, 24, is accused of luring a 15-year-old girl to his apartment, raping her multiple times and not allowing her to leave.
Credle allegedly met the girl on a dating app called Wizz and arranged for a car service to bring her from New Jersey home to his apartment on Hughes Avenue on Nov. 13, court documents say.
"When the victim arrived, he allegedly raped her over the course of several hours. Fortunately, her mother tracked her there. She told the police, and her daughter was rescued. The defendant's alleged actions are horrific,” said District Attorney Darcel Clark.
Prior to the rape, Credle allegedly gave the teen marijuana and a drink that made her feel sick, according to prosecutors.
NYPD Emergency Service Unit Officers arrived at Credle’s apartment building at around 6 p.m. the next day. EMS took the girl to NYC Health + Hospitals Jacobi, and Credle was arrested.
Credle was arraigned Tuesday and is charged with rape, sexual misconduct, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child. The DA’s office says his bail remains at $50,000 cash/$200,000 bond.
Credle is due back in court on Feb. 10.
