As thousands of Knicks fans head to Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, another watch party is drawing crowds in the Bronx.

The outdoor watch party outside MSG was canceled Wednesday night, after dispute between Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the venue's management. Meanwhile, Bronx Brewery in Port Morris is opening its doors free of charge, expecting hundreds of fans to gather and watch the game on a giant outdoor screen.

The watch parties come at a critical time for the brewery. After temporarily closing in February to reevaluate the future of the business, Bronx Brewery is getting a second chance through a partnership between Verse World and Pizzazoo. Organizers say social media has played a major role in bringing fans through the doors.

Game 1 of the Finals attracted about 100 people, but marketing partner Tim Williams says two viral Instagram videos helped fuel rapid growth, with as many as 700 fans expected for Wednesday night’s game.

“It’s been growing each event. Everyone is having a good time. It feels good. We put a lot of effort, blood, sweat… I think the payoff is at the end of the night when people say we’ll be back the next game,” Williams said.

Williams says management is still working through the brewery’s long-term future, but as long as the Knicks remain in the Finals, fans can expect more watch parties in Port Morris.
