Briarcliff Manor schools opened on a two-hour delay Tuesday morning due to police activity following the arrest of four burglary suspects near Todd Elementary School.

A chase ended in an accident on the Taconic State Parkway, where two suspects were apprehended at the scene, while the other two fled on foot and were last seen heading toward the Todd Elementary School campus.

With the help of a drone equipped with a thermal optics to be able to see through darkness, police were able to locate the other two suspects running through the woods.

The delay affected the entire district as a safety measure.
