A 12-year-old boy is recovering this morning after being hit by a car in Putnam County.
Carmel police say it happened on South Lake Boulevard near Lake Mahopac on Monday afternoon.
The child had a head injury and was still conscious when he was taken to the hospital.
He’s currently in stable condition.
