A boil water advisory for certain areas in Greenburgh has been lifted.

The advisory had been in place to protect residents from potential contamination following a water main break.

The break happened Sunday and affected about a thousand people.

Repairs were completed Monday afternoon, but officials said it took time for the pipes to refill with water.
