An investigation is underway in Putnam County after a woman's body was discovered inside a motel.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says the body of Michelle Van Tassel was discovered yesterday morning inside a room at the Countryside Motel on Route 9 in Philipstown.
Police say they found bottles of prescription medication and bottles of alcohol at the scene. No foul play is suspected in the death of the Verplanck woman.
