A body was found in the Croton Reservoir in Yorktown Sunday.

First responders arrived to the scene at around 9 a.m. and recovered the body of what appeared to be a white male.

Its appearance indicated it may have been there for some time, but further details weren't immediately provided from officials.

Police blocked the street half a mile from the incident, and two first responder and fire trucks stayed on the bridge for hours with police.

Neighbors were disturbed by the incident in their normally quiet area.
