Black ice possibly to blame for 14-car crash in Highlands; officials say to stay home during storm
Emergency management officials say black ice appears to
have been a factor in a Route 9W and Route 293 crash in Cornwall that involved
14 cars.
One person was transported to St. Luke's Hospital with
injuries that are not life-threatening.

Authorities say it should serve as a warning to drivers who
may be venturing out during the winter weather arriving tonight into Tuesday
morning. News 12 forecasters say up to 10 inches of snow is expected in
northern areas of the Hudson Valley.
News 12’s Ben Nandy spoke with Highlands Town Supervisor
Bob Livsey, who says Public Works crews and utility workers will be ready for
the storm. He urged residents to stay home during the wintry weather event.
