The Bee-Line Bus System is reminding its passengers that the buses in circulation are safe and sanitized amid the public’s concerns over the coronavirus.
Liberty Lines Transit invited News 12 to its station in Yonkers for a look at how it sanitizes its fleet of buses.
The company says its cleaning process is nothing new or in response to the coronavirus. It says its cleaning method is something that has been in place for years.

Back when the H1N1 virus surfaced, the company started sanitizing every inch of its buses daily and never stopped.
"All the handrails, all the surface areas around the seat, the driver’s compartments – because we feel it’s very important,” says Neil Erickson, the company’s executive vice president.
He says the company has no plans to deviate from its routine cleanings.
