Republican Assemblyman Greg Ball is calling for a change to the new reforms of the Rockefeller Drug Laws.
At a news conference at the Westchester County Courthouse Monday, Ball explained there is a loophole in the new law that will increase the danger from illegal aliens in the drug trade. Ball claims the new law would allow illegal aliens to be easily released from custody after undergoing drug rehab. He says they would not necessarily be deported.
Ball has introduced legislation to close the loopholes. As of now, the new law takes effect next week.
