A couple of baby peregrine falcons have been spotted on top of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Photos of the chicks have been posted on the official Twitter account documenting the replacement of the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The first sighting of the new baby birds happened on the Thruway Authority's live camera feed.
A nest box is installed on top of the Tappan Zee Bridge. It provides shelter and a high vantage point from which the endangered animals can look for food.
Officials say a baby-naming contest will run through April 28 and is open to students in elementary and middle schools.
