Average score for ACT college admissions test falls to 30-year low

New numbers show that the average score for students taking the ACT college admissions test has fallen to a 30-year low.
That score is now just 19.5 points out of 36.
The organization that administers the exams says kids just simply aren't prepared - and the pandemic is a major factor.
The group says scores have been falling for six straight years, which means they started dropping even before the pandemic.
