Two arrests have been made in the murder of a Pelham man found dead 1 1/2 years ago.
Harry Devert disappeared while riding his motorcycle to the World Cup in Brazil. His dismembered body was discovered five months later in two garbage bags, with his motorcycle next to him, in Mexico.
Mexican authorities have told Devert's family that two alleged members of a drug cartel are under arrest for his murder.
It is believed that the 33-year-old was killed because the gang thought he was a U.S. drug enforcement agent.
Devert's mother says she is surprised and grateful that the Mexican government arrested the alleged drug gang leaders, but she says this is just the beginning of a long journey.
Ann Devert says there are still others responsible who are out there.
She says she would like to be in Mexico when her son's alleged killers go on trial, and hopes enforcement in Mexico will follow through on all the leads they gathered while pursuing her son's case.
