An armed robber hit a hotel in Clarkstown this morning, terrorizing the employees.
The robbery occurred at the Hilton Garden Inn in Nanuet where two female employees were tied up and threatened with a gun.
The two female employees who were working the night shift at the hotel were scared for their lives after police say a man walked in and asked for a room. The robber allegedly pulled a grey semi-automatic pistol on the employees then zip tied them before rummaging through the front desk area.
The unidentified robber got away with a small safe, several hundred dollars in cash, and a purse from one of the employees.
About a half hour after the robbery took place, one employee managed to untie herself and call police.
Last week a similar robbery took place at the Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge in Ramapo. Police are investigating whether the robberies are connected.
