Like many towns across the country, Ardsley honored the veterans who served our country.
Many of the residents have especially touching stories about loved ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Ardsley resident Anna Grigorian, 82, holds her two brothers close to her heart. On each side of her blazer, she wears a Purple Heart, the medals her brothers received after they lost their lives in World War II. Grigorian remembers the day her mother received the news. "She lost two boys and I remember I was very little and she said she wanted to die."
She comes to the parade every single year for them. "I always go to these memorials in the name of my brothers and in honor of my mother."
After the parade, everyone headed to Pascone Park for a ceremony for all the veterans, particularly honoring the 14 Ardsley veterans who gave their lives for this country.
