An arctic blast sent temperatures down to the teens and 20s across the Hudson Valley, a deep freeze that is forecast to last all week long

Steve Cohen, of West Nyack, was busy Tuesday afternoon on snow cleanup duty, shoveling the inch or so of snow in his driveway. He said the light and fluffy snow that fell is the most preferred type to shovel.

Other residents said they could handle the snow and deep freeze separately, but together it is just too much to bear.

Residents are advised to keep winter gear handy as more snow is expected on Wednesday, with wind chill temperatures of 5-15 degrees. Wednesday evening will be blustery and bitter cold, with lows of 2-8 degrees and wind chills of 10-20 below zero.
