The application process is officially open for up to three full-scale casinos downstate.

The state's gaming committee unanimously voted Tuesday to issue a request for applications.
Empire City Casino in Yonkers said if it does get a license, it will create three new luxury restaurants, a floor to ceiling sports book and a state of the art entertainment center for big acts.
The casino estimates it would create about 13,000 jobs.
