Another Hudson Valley community is enforcing water restrictions.
Village of Montgomery officials say that due to existing drought conditions, they are enacting their Level 2 Water Restriction. They say all outside water use needs to be eliminated until further notice.
This includes watering lawns, washing machines, washing vehicles and filling pools.
They say if water consumption isn’t reduced and if water levels continue to drop, the village will be forced to put emergency wells into use.
Montgomery joins the Village of Florida, Pine Bush, Kingston, and Rockland County that have put water restrictions into place recently.
