An annual Good Friday tradition organized by St. Patrick's Church brought out hundreds in the Newburgh community.
The crowd gathered on Liberty Street to pray and sing in Spanish and act in costume. Many of the people who came out in Newburgh marched with their children or stood alongside the road to watch and sing along with the festivities.
"It means Jesus is our savior. We are here for him today," said Newburgh resident Espe Olivera. "He died for us on the cross. It's a special day."
