A "no kill" animal shelter in Elmsford is shutting its doors.
Erin Guilshan, who heads the Pets Alive shelter in Westchester, says engineers have declared their building unsafe to occupy. Guilshan says they are now forced to sell the property and move all their animals to their Middletown facility in Orange County.
Volunteers are scrambling to find homes for hundreds of cats and dogs before they close their doors for good.
