Less than 24 hours after a fatal plane crash, the first air show at Stewart International Airport in over a decade went on as planned.
Pilot Andrew Wright of Austin, Texas was killed as he was practicing high-speed maneuvers on Friday for today's air show. His plane took a nose dive and crashed into the ground.
A moment of silence was held in a tribute to mark Wright's tragic death. Officials say that a similar tribute will be held on Sunday at around 12 p.m.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the crash.
