President Barack Obama's visit to the Hudson Valley included some exciting moments for a group of African-American military veterans.
The president stopped to speak with a group from the Buffalo Soldiers Organization in Newburgh.
He also took pictures with the World War II vets at Stewart Air National Guard Base.
The original Buffalo Soldiers were African-Americans who served in the United States cavalry during the second half of the 19th century. The group protected mostly white settlers from Native Americans.
