A man police believe was responsible for a fatal shooting outside a Spring Valley night club was brought back to Rockland County to face charges Wednesday.
Police say 26-year-old Carlos Herring is the man behind the shooting death of 29-year-old Don Thompson Jr. outside Club Horizen on August 5. Police say Herring was the prime suspect but took off before he could be arrested. Investigators tracked Herring through several states until he was found in Palm Beach County, Florida last week, where detectives and the Rockland County District Attorney?s office questioned him.
Herring was arraigned in Spring Valley on charges of second-degree murder. A grand jury is expected to hear the case against him on August 25.
