The race for the 99th Assembly District seat turned ugly Tuesday night when Republican candidate Greg Ball's campaign headquarters were vandalized. According to police, the words "fascist" and "scum", along with swastikas, were painted on the building that also houses Ball's business. Ball said he believes the vandalism was in reaction to a campaign rally held in Carmel Tuesday. At the rally, Ball continued to stress his strong opposition to illegal immigration. Ball?s Democratic opponent, Ken Harper, prefers leaving illegal immigration to the federal government. However, he says he wants the vandals prosecuted even if they turn out to be his supporters. Police are still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
