Five people have been arrested in an alleged identity theft ring targeting bank customers.
Officials say some of the banks targeted include the Chase branch on West Burnside Avenue, the HSBC on East Fordham Road and Bank of America on West Fordham Road.
Police say the suspects stole more than $850,000 by having tellers access customers' personal data so they could use it to withdraw their money.
Each suspect faces grand larceny and identify theft charges, among others.
Four of the suspects arrested are from the Bronx.
