35-year-old Beacon man drowns in Mount Beacon Reservoir

Officials say the body of 35-year-old Beacon resident Robert Ansbach was found by the state police dive team in the Mount Beacon Reservoir around 10 a.m. They say his body was recovered about 30 feet off shore in approximately 20 feet of water.

The body of a drowning victim was recovered in Dutchess County Wednesday, according to Town of Fishkill police.
Police say they received a call around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, and the caller said their friend went swimming in the reservoir but disappeared.
The search resumed Wednesday morning.
Officials say the body of 35-year-old Beacon resident Robert Ansbach was found by the state police dive team in the Mount Beacon Reservoir around 10 a.m. They say his body was recovered about 30 feet off shore in approximately 20 feet of water. 
Ansbach was removed from the scene  to the Dutchess County Medical Examiners Office, which is assisting in the investigation.
