The 31st Annual Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival is set to kick off Friday at Tymor Park in Union Vale.
The festival set to begin at 2:30 p.m. will take flight all weekend long with 21 hot air balloons from all over the world.
Attendees can expect vendors, food trucks, live music, ax throwing, a beer and wine tent and plenty of other family fun activities.
There's even a laser show with an "Evening Majestic Hot-Air Balloon Illumination Moon Glow."
"This weekend looks absolutely beautiful. So, it looks like we're going to get in some hot air balloon flights. And I would tell folks, if you're wanting to see balloons come to the morning launches because there's nothing quite like it... it is just absolutely incredible. It's the closest thing to feeling like you're floating in the world." says president and CEO Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Frank Castella, Jr.
Parking is free but residents can only buy admission tickets online in advance
here.
Stay with News 12 all day long for coverage of the event. News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo will be at the festival live starting at 3 p.m.
