A new restaurant is making its debut in Bridgeport's North End with a focus on food, entertainment and giving back to the community.

Portside Lounge and Restaurant officially opened Wednesday at 3777 Main Street, offering American cuisine, craft drinks and live entertainment in a warm, welcoming setting.

Co-owner Gloria Garcia said the goal is to create an atmosphere that feels like home, while patron Pia Alston praised the restaurant's inviting environment and unique layout, which includes both a dining room and a dedicated party space.

As the holiday season approaches, the business is already planning to support the community by providing free meals to people in need on Thanksgiving.
