A rollover crash involving a garbage truck caused traffic delays on the State Thruway in Yonkers on Thursday.

State police say the truck was carrying municipal waste when it overturned.

Officials say the load shifted as the driver entered the 6A acceleration ramp onto the northbound Thruway.

The driver was taken to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

Two lanes were blocked for several hours following the crash.
