An aggressive effort is underway to repair potholes across New York as crews move to address driver complaints and road damage, says Gov. Kathy Hochul.

Transportation officials say crews are set to fill about 175,000 potholes this month.

In Westchester County, work is taking place on portions of the Cross Westchester Expressway, the Sprain Brook Parkway and the Saw Mill Parkway.

“We understand the pain and frustration of drivers,” Hochul said. “Think about the typical mom having to take her kids to school, hits a pothole. All of a sudden there’s damage to the wheel axles, the tires.”

Drivers are encouraged to report potholes on state‑owned highways.

Reports can be made by calling 1‑800‑POTHOLE.
