A jury found 27-year-old Jarod Hamilton, of Bridgeport, guilty of murder and carrying a revolver without a permit on Monday, according to the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice.
Prosecutors say on the morning of Dec. 23, 2017, Hamilton shot and killed 22-year-old Khali Davis outside a mini mart at the corner of Maple and Kossuth Streets in Bridgeport.
In 2022, Hamilton was convicted of fatally shooting Davis. Just three years later, the Connecticut Supreme Court overturned the case and ordered a retrial.
Hamilton is set to be sentenced on May 26 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
