A White Plains man is facing charges after pipe bombs were found inside a home on Odell Avenue on Monday.

While some neighbors were shocked by the incident, others say they were not surprised.

News 12 was sent a video that appears to show an unidentified person lighting and throwing an object toward 18 Odell Ave. As the person walks off, you can hear the object explode. The video is dated March 18 at 4:22 p.m.

The person who shared the video says he first heard a similar noise two years ago around Christmas.

Others say explosions are often heard.

"Maybe months? A couple of months, they've been going off now. It really seemed like it was just kids lighting off an explosive here and there, but it got more frequent and more powerful. [Monday] was really intense," said Van and Patricia Brunson, who live at 11 Odell Ave.

"There's been sounds more often," said Myrna Fahnestock, who lives in the area.

The White Plains Department of Public Safety has confirmed that there are no explosive materials currently present on the first-floor apartment at 11 Odell Avenue.

The federal investigation remains ongoing.
