Professional dancer Karina Smirnoff hosted a ballroom master class at the Westport Weston Family YMCA Tuesday morning.
Smirnoff is best known for her performances on the hit television show "Dancing with the Stars."
The event included a dynamic dance session, a special performance, plus a Q&A with Smirnoff.
"In my opinion, ballroom dancing is the fountain of youth because it engages everything,” said Smirnoff. “It engages the physical workout. At the same time, because you're emotionally involved in every step in the music, you mentally take a break from everyday stress and the news. And at the same time, you're having fun."
The lesson was open to participants of all experience levels.
