Drivers in Spring Valley are facing a major traffic change as a bridge shutdown gets underway.
Village leaders say the Route 59 bridge over Pascack Road will be closed for several months.
The closure will allow state workers to replace parts of the bridge and complete repairs.
Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday and is expected to wrap up before Labor Day.
Officials say detours will be posted during the project.
Businesses in the area will remain open.
