City of Newburgh police launched an investigation into a fatal stabbing that happened on Wednesday.
Police were at St. Luke's Hospital and noticed a 37-year-old man outside the emergency room with a stab wound.
Officers immediately provided treatment but the victim died from his injuries.
The stabbing happened on Lutheran Street near Van Ness Street.
