State police say they have charged a man for allegedly sexually abusing a child under 13.
They say Cornwall native John Kyle Dizon had sexual contact with the child in April 2022.
Dizon was working as a City of Newburgh Police officer at the time of his arrest and as an officer at SUNY Albany when the alleged incident happened. His employment was terminated effective immediately on Monday by the City of Newburgh.
Dizon is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, along with rape and other charges.
