Two women were taken into custody in Cortlandt Manor Thursday after police raided a local spa that allegedly operated as an illegal massage parlor.

Xu Chun Ji, of Queens, was charged with prostitution and giving massages without a license. Xu's assistant, Huang Shun Al, was also charged with offering unlicensed massages.

The arrests took place after neighbors in the usually quiet community become suspicious of King Spa at 1201 Oregon Road and called the authorities.

Detectives posed as patrons and not only got massages, but were also offered sex in exchange for cash, police say.

Neighbors in the area were shocked by news of the arrests.

"I'm glad the police and the town are on top of things," says Deborah Levesque. "We don't need this in our small town."

This is not the first time a business on Oregon Road was targeted by a prostitution investigation. Last October, police arrested two women on allegations of prostitution and closed the VARA Healing Center, which operated in the same building as King Spa.
