2 cats rescued in separate New Jersey incidents
The animals are now getting the care and support they need following their rescues.

A kitten just several weeks old is recovering after being found injured on the side of a road in Middlesex County.
The kitten, named Xena, is now in the care of New Beginnings Animal Rescue. The rescue says a good Samaritan saw Xena allegedly being dumped from a car on Route 18 earlier this month.
Xena suffered a broken leg and is now receiving care as she recovers. The rescue is asking for donations to help cover her medical expenses.
In a separate rescue, another cat was found stranded on a ledge along Interstate 78 in Jersey City Friday morning.
A couple stopped to help and safely got the cat off the ledge.
The cat was turned over to animal control and will eventually be available for adoption.
