Police are investigating whether a road race led to the Friday afternoon car crash that left one teen dead and another critically injured.
Police say Joseph Touri, 18, was killed after crashing into a tree at the intersection of College and Glen avenues.
A 16-year-old passenger, Diana Pineda, was thrown through the car's rear window when it hit the tree. The Port Chester native was taken to Westchester Medical Center with severe injuries.
Witnesses say they saw Touri's car racing on College Avenue alongside another car moments before the accident Friday.
The crash happened a few blocks from Port Chester High School, where both teens attended school.
Friends and family visited the tree Saturday to light candles, comfort each other, pray and mourn.
