Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was sworn in Friday for his second term as the 42nd mayor of the city.
The ceremony took place at Yonkers' first City Hall, Philipse Manor Hall.
During Spano's first term, the city of Yonkers saw balanced budgets, with large investments in Yonkers public schools.
The mayor has also had a strong focus on job creation and economic development.
Spano won't be able to run for mayor again due to term limits. Some supporters have said they hope to see him take on the county executive's office next.
