Yonkers man arrested, accused in hit-and-run that killed woman
Police say Fateema Respress, of Yonkers, was struck by a car just before 5 a.m. on Buena Vista Avenue between Main Street and Dock Street.

2h agoThe driver believed to be behind a fatal hit-and-run Monday in Yonkers was arrested.
Geneby Clase, of Yonkers, was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death.
Police say Fateema Respress, of Yonkers, was struck by a car just before 5 a.m. on Buena Vista Avenue between Main Street and Dock Street. They believe Respress tripped and fell into the roadway and was struck by a black SUV as she was trying to get up.
She died from her injuries.
