Wintry mix possible in Hudson Valley tonight
A winter weather advisory is in effect tonight for Orange and Putnam counties as some areas may see a bit of a light wintry mix.
News 12 Meteorologist Joe Rao does not anticipate the precipitation will be a major issue tonight, but cautions drivers to take it easy especially on roads north of I-84 and in elevations above 800'.
Rao says the rest of the Hudson Valley will stay above 32 degrees tonight so only plain rain/drizzle is expected in most communities.
For the weekend, Rao predicts Saturday will be cloudy with scattered sprinkles. Sunday could see heavy rain with temperatures approaching record highs in the upper 50s.
