Real estate mogul Donald Trump was in Yorktown Wednesday to announce he is donating 436 acres of land to the state.

Flanked by Governor George Pataki (R-NY), Trump talked about the 282 acres that straddle the Putnam-Westchester County line and a 154-acre parcel, which lies further south. The land will be preserved as a state park called the Donald J. Trump State Park. Trump says the land donation is one way of giving something back to the state.

Trump says the combined parcel could be worth about $100 million. But now that they are no longer for sale and part of the state park system, they will remain open space.
