A December nor'easter is bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to the area.

News 12 Meteorologist Joe Rao says Tuesday evening will be cloudy and breezy with lingering showers.

Rao says Wednesday will be cloudy and breezy with a wintry mix changing to all snow. He says accumulations of a coating up to 2 inches is possible, chiefly on non-paved surfaces. Temperatures will have a high of 35 to 41 degrees.
