A new poll shows that the majority of New Yorkers think the mayor's wife should play little to no role in determining policy.
According to the Quinnipiac University survey, 71 percent of voters don't want the city's first lady involved in policy decisions.
It also found that 61 percent don't think the mayor's spouse should have a chief of staff.
The poll comes after the chief of staff to Mayor Bill de Blasio's wife, Chirlane McCray, announced she was taking a leave of absence following scrutiny over her personal life.
