Winter is stubborn to leave, making driving around Westchester extremely hazardous Wednesday.

Salt trucks were out in force making sure roads didn?t freeze up. However, there were still many fender benders reported across the county. Police say the snow combined with the extreme cold made the roads icy. Other drivers had visibility problems, which also contributed to a dangerous commute.

Forecasters say the unseasonable temperatures will last for the rest of the work week.
