Former Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who suffered personal and professional setbacks in recent years, is getting her own court show.
CW11 is scheduled to start airing the small-claims court program "Judge Jeanine Pirro" in the fall from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Backers are betting that Pirro's personality and experience will set her apart from the already packed field of popular television judges, such as Judy Shienland and Greg Mathis.
The "dream" job, which suffered a few false starts, comes after Pirro made the rounds as a cable news pundit.
Pirro lost the 2006 state attorney general race to Andrew Cuomo. She also dropped out of the Senate race against Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton that year.
Also in 2006, federal officials began investigating whether Pirro broke the law by allegedly asking former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik to wiretap her husband's boat because she believed Al Pirro was cheating on her. The conversation was recorded, however, the probe remains unresolved.
Jeanine separated from Al, who previously served prison time for tax fraud, in November 2007.
